desc Detailed Description

JFD Brokers offers both an institutional and retail trading suite. Since the majority of visitors to this site are retail traders, we will delve more into the retail trading side of things.

I. Background and Company Overview of JFD Brokers

JFD Brokers commenced operations in 2011 and has garnered some awards along the way. It was voted the Best Multi-Asset Investment Services Company in Western Europe for 2022 by the International Business Magazine and Best Portfolio Management Company Cyprus for 2022 by Finance Derivative.

These awards and some of the interesting features of the company's FX/CFD offering are commanding market attention. Here are some of the eye-catching features:

  • The ability to trade physical stocks from selected exchanges and earn dividend payouts.
  • A professional suite where eligible traders can get exemptions from ESMA's margin rules in the EU brand.
  • An enhanced asset index with more tradable assets than you can find on other brokers.

II. Trading Platforms and Tools

Several trading platforms are found on JFD Brokers.

  • MT4+
  • MT5+
  • Stock3

JFD Brokers MT4+ platform is an enhanced version of this iconic trading platform which has been improved to contain 500 extra assets spread across 8 asset classes. This is why JFD Brokers has added a + to the MT4 to get MT4+. You get a desktop client, mobile app and a webtrader.

The MT5+ has also been enhanced to accommodate the 1500 instruments that are spread across 9 asset classes, all sourced from 20 liquidity providers. It comes as a webtrader, desktop client and mobile app.

The Stock3 software is the in-house trading platform that was created to personalize the FX/CFD offering in Europe. JFD Brokers pioneered the offering of FX and CFD assets in Germany using the Stock3 platform. It presents an interactive interface to promote more socialized trading.

JFD Brokers also gives access to specific tools that enhance the trading experience.

  • There is a live streaming service on YouTube which covers market events such as the opening bell on the DAX, Wall Street and other European exchanges. Also, watch market-moving events such as speeches by central bank heads on this channel.
  • A virtual private server is made available for clients of JFD Brokers. The VPS comes from two providers: Fozzy and MyTradeHost. Clients of JFD Brokers get a 50% discount on Fozzy and 10% off the MTH dedicated server.
  • You can access the latest market insights from the in-house experts.

III. Account Types and Spreads

JFD Brokers does not operate a differentiated account system. Everyone gets one type of trading account, with one set of conditions and one price. However, there are subtle differences when you trade with the international brand as opposed to the EU-focused brand. The conditions on both accounts are similar, with the only difference being that the EU brand offers negative balance protection while the international brand does not.

You can maintain accounts in USD, Euro, Swiss Franc and British Pounds. The minimum deposit requirement is 500 units of base currency. Other contract specifications are spelt out below.
